Donald H. Malnati
PRESIDENT, RENOVATIONS UNLIMITED, INC.

President and Founder of Renovations Unlimited, Inc. an award-winning residential general contracting construction firm specializing in historic restoration projects in Washington, DC. Since the formation of Renovations Unlimited in 1984, Mr. Malnati has been responsible for operational production functions of the Company including production management, quality control programs, customer relations, strategic planning, marketing and overall management of the firm. Mr. Malnati’s responsibilities include the successful positioning of the company’s services in the residential construction market in Washington, DC.

During his tenure with Renovations Unlimited Inc., Mr. Malnati successfully launched a Commercial Construction Division specializing in State and Local government contracting obtaining over $8M in new contracts in the first year of inception. Mr. Malnati’s marketing efforts have also resulted in the attainment of institutional contracts for the renovation of The Turkish Ambassador’s Residence in Washington, DC, a contract valued at over $14M.

Additionally, Mr. Malnati has implemented a comprehensive systems-based production system for the Company’s $10M/year construction projects including milestone metrics and integrated purchasing and contract administration functions.

Co-Founder and Production Manager the Murillo/Malnati Group LLC, a Washington, DC-based residential real estate development company specializing in single-family and small multi-family condominium projects. Mr. Malnati is responsible for construction management, production controls and quality control of the Company’s projects. His responsibilities also included the effective integration of the Company’s projects designs with the production aspects of development construction, subcontracting, labor management field supervision and scheduling.

Mr. Malnati has received numerous awards for renovation projects including the Mayor’s Award for Excellence in Preservation, May 9, 2003 for 1901 Vermont Avenue, NW and the Washingtonian Residential Design Award Sponsored by the American Institute of Architects AIA for 21 Gessford Court, SE, Washington, DC.

Julio C. Murillo
EXECUTIVE ADVISOR

Julio Murillo is Senior Advisor and Partner of Renovations Unlimited, Inc. He is also Managing Member and Founder of Murillo/Malnati Group LLC. Mr. Murillo is responsible for MMG’s operational and strategic planning, implementation of company marketing strategy, and overall management. Mr. Murillo’s responsibilities include successfully positioning the Company’s product offerings and attaining strategic objectives.

Prior to his work at Renovations Unlimited, Inc. and Murillo/Malnati Group LLC, Mr. Murillo was Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Group CTI, Inc., which included Construction Technologies International (CTI) and Construction Technologies Argentina (CTA), two leading international construction technology transfer and import/export firms specializing in US-manufactured building products.

From 1988 to 1994, prior to founding Group CTI, Mr. Murillo was Co-Founder and President of MCCI, a Virginia-based general contracting firm affiliated with the NV Group of companies. Mr. Murillo was responsible for implementing a state-of-the-art management information system and a quality control program designed to streamline operations and ensure timely delivery of over 600 construction projects in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Prior to founding MCCI, Mr. Murillo was Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of NVCommercial Management, Inc., a start-up real estate management company affiliated with the NVCommercial Group.

From 1985 to 1988, Mr. Murillo was the Senior Real Estate Development Financial Analyst for Lincoln Property Company. He was responsible for project finances for commercial construction projects totaling over $175 million, as well as financial management of the construction, leasing, and property management profit centers.

Mr. Murillo attended the School of Economics at George Mason University. He is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks.

Project Manager – Renovations Unlimited Inc

Jay Irwin has more than 20 years of experience in the Washington, DC development and construction industries. He has extensive knowledge and expertise in residential/commercial construction and site development.

Prior to joining Renovations Unlimited, Mr. Irwin was founder/president of IDB, a design-build firm with a focus on historic and luxury residential renovations. IDB was responsible for numerous recognizable residential restorations in DC, particularly in the Georgetown area, several of which contracts exceeded $4 Million. Prior to founding IDB, Mr. Irwin was a project manager at Brookfield Properties and production manager at Winchester Homes. From 1998 to 2002 he was responsible for overseeing multiple Marriott Hotel renovations nationally for Triple Crown Construction. Mr. Irwin holds
construction contractor licenses in DC, Maryland and Virginia.

A DC native, Mr. Irwin has been around construction his whole life. He has a passion for the industry, evident through his management style and personality. He has a keen understanding of the unique complexities in development and construction that come with each project from inception to completion. Mr. Irwin holds a degree in Construction Management and attended the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park.

When not at his desk or running between construction sites, Mr. Irwin enjoys cycling, snowboarding, woodworking and gardening. He resides in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife Anna and daughter Avery.

Rodrigo Diaz
OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

Mr. Diaz is responsible for Renovations Unlimited, Inc. day-to-day accounting procedures, cash flow management, and budget forecasting. He is also responsible for managing the company’s contracts and plays a key role in the preparation of bid proposals.

Prior to his work at Renovations Unlimited, Inc. and Murillo/Malnati Group, Mr. Diaz worked as a Supervisor at Bank of America’s Rockville, MD “Flagship” branch. He is a 2009 graduate of American University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

While studying at American University, he held an internship at the Inter-American Development Bank “Inter-American Culture and Development Foundation” and worked as a supervisor at Starbucks in Chevy Chase, MD. He was born in La Paz, Bolivia and now lives in Chevy Chase, MD.
